Fight on Mount Everest

A fight occurred on the Lhotse Face of Mount Everest on Saturday, April 27, 2013 between European mountaineers and Nepalese Sherpa mountaineers. Reports of the event flashed from the base camp via texts and emails to blogs and then to the major media outlets (AFPCNN, BBC). The initial reports conveyed the story from the perspective the the European mountaineers. Secondary reports began to convey the story from the perspective of the Nepalese Sherpa mountaineers.

From a collection of media outlets, I have pieced together an aggregation of the story. I believe that the fifth and sixth reports are perhaps the most objective accounts written by onsite mountaineers and observers.

These two events are arguably two of the top automotive and sports events in the world. People travel from all over the world to support their favorite teams and pilots. I'm just blessed and fortunate to live in Texas.
I'm a dual sport motorcycle rider, but I'm not really a sport motorcycle rider. I had a general interest in the Moto GP, but not a fanaticism for the sport. I was interested in checking out the event as a spectacle, but I was not so interested that I would pay the steep ticket prices. But hey... if someone was going to offer me a free ticket... I'M ALL IN! This is my friend Andy. He rides a sport motorcycle an…
