This website priceoftravel.com provides a nice list of where to travel on a budget, both globally and regionally. The list is definitely geared toward the traveler that wants to save or maximize their money. But looking at the list, it appears to me, that many of the least expensive places in the world to travel are also some of the most interesting. 1. A dorm bed at a good and cheap hostel
2. Three budget meals
3. Two public transportation rides
4. One paid cultural attraction
5. Three cheap beers (as an “entertainment fund”)
